A digital system that provides and manages credits for allowed energy usage for each citizen/ household. Users can trade or save credits. Smart appliances limit energy usage once credit exhausted. Prioritization is given to essential services and vulnerable populations based on centralized allocation algorithms. Any excess credits can be 'earned' by generating excess power that feeds back into the grid.
