Ancestral Mapping & Resource Network (AMRN)
A distributed, offline map and knowledge system leveraging oral history recorded before the degradation of city systems to map and locate critical resources (water sources, edible plants, building materials, former social connection locations, former culturally appropriate sites). AMRN would be based on local ancestral knowledge and augmented with community input and GPS data to help navigate a degraded urban environments and ensure access to vital resources. It would focus both on how it used to be and how it is right now, including the degradation and shifts into other locations and modes. Oral storytelling and art would be crucial to how it functions.
