A global research initiative focused on developing high-performance, sustainable alternatives to rare earth elements currently targeted by deep-sea mining. This project includes materials scientists, engineers, and designers working together to create closed-loop manufacturing processes and promoting readily available, earth-abundant substitions that replace the need for deep-sea mining materials. Publically available database of material alternatives available to everyone.
