Mandatory Empathy Modules (MEMs)
A government mandated VR experience aimed at reducing social fragmentation. It puts users in realistic simulations of different social and economic situations, cultural backgrounds, physical and mental health circumstances to encourage empathy and to foster a sense of shared citizenship. It is designed for a set amount of hours per week, and enforced by governing digital bodies with the intention to reduce growing social stratification.
