Restorative Justice Bond (RJB)
A form of social impact bond that invests specifically in restorative justice programs centered around healing and promoting harmony between an offender and the victim(s). Rather than incarceration or punishment, a social impact bond is used to fund victim mediation sessions, rehabilitation programs for the offender, and additional community service activities with the explicit goal of fostering understanding and repairing broken trust. This bond does not provide a return to investors but has its value calculated by improvements in community relations.
